MediaWiki defines a number of keyboard shortcuts for increasing the efficiency with which common tasks can be performed. In general, hover a UI element to see what its shortcut key is. If using a Mac, replace Alt+Shift with Ctrl+Option.
The following keyboard shortcuts can be used commonly by all editors:
- Alt + Shift + S → save page (from edit screen)
- Alt + Shift + P → preview page (from edit screen)
- Alt + Shift + E → edit page (from view screen) (no Visual Editor)

- Alt + Shift + D → delete current page (from any view)

- Alt + Shift + W → add/remove page from watchlist
For VisualEditor:
- Alt + Shift + E → edit source
- Alt + Shift + V → open VisualEditor
