:::::Actually did find a Rimworld wiki on Wikia right now, but it's ''very'' bareboned, and appears to have been created in 2016, 3 years after the official one. I suspect they simply copied some code from ''somewhere over there'' to get content on those disclaimers and suchlike default pages when they started out, and little has been done about them since. And although you and Wikia are basically the same entity now (thankfully not yet (?) when it comes to site design/banners), I wouldn't want to start editing anything over there. The UI is hideous and looks awful to work with. [[User:Pangaearocks|Pangaearocks]] ([[User talk:Pangaearocks|talk]]) 22:15, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

:::::As suspected it was simply forgotten about when the wiki was set up years ago. The administrator has sorted it out now, with the CC license logo and note w/link on the bottom on each page. It should then be okay to adapt similar content from other wikis and adapt it for that one.

However, I have a query about the '''MsUpload''' extension, which I hope you can clear up for us, given you have great experience with the backbone stuff. All about the multiple uploading of images works as advertised, but for whatever reason images don't get automatically added to categories when I am uploading while editing a category page (which is mainly what I wanted since I'm about to upload many images from game files). Are you able to help us out with what the issue is? I can't find anything by searching, nor is there anything on the extension's talk page. Revision as of 19:18, 9 July 2019

The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete|reason for deletion request}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

Add Extension: NumberFormat

Add Extension: NumberFormat to Neverwinter ru. Thanks! Barknar (talk) 22:07, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

Very minor annoyance

At the bottom of the page it says "Copyright 2005-2018, Curse". The hyphen (-) should actually be a endash (–) (see Wikipedia:MOS:DASH). Very minor thing, I know. Nixinova (talk) 07:17, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

I don't have any control over the text that appears there. I will report it, but I cannot guarantee that anything will change. — Game widow (talk) 12:27, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Since the upgrade the search functionality is not working. Type any word into the search box and hit enter and it will bring back no results. No matter what you type.–Preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.43.34.85 (talk) at 16 November 2018 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Hey there, fortunately this problem is known; there have been reports on the Gamepedia Slack, Discord, and here. Gamepedia Staff are working to fix the problem.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 13:19, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

They got caught in a weird abuse filter that I'm not surprised is getting false positives. I've let Kitty know.

Moonknight066: The requesting extensions page may contain some useful information; it looks like the Wiki Manager of Langrisser is User:Daigian.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 01:47, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
I forgot to mention when I marked the unsigned, but I did let Daigian know about this.

I accidentally added a bunch of pages that I can't delete now

As the title said I accidentally added a bunch of pages that I can't remove now (they were supposed to be added on another gamepedia page). Can someone remove them? The pages are the following

Barbed // Phase Chaining // Length // Galvanize // Epinephrine // Driftwood // Dispersal // Damping –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Happyneedo (talkcontribs) at 12:29, 14 December 2018 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Path of Exile Wiki - German Page

The Wiki has Pages in France and Russian but not in German. I think a DE-Site will be a good idea to help German users for a better understanding of PoE. I want to start the translate in German, maybe other german users follow my lead...? How can I do this, because there is no Option to add a "German" Link to the List "In other languages"? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Herruntermoser (talkcontribs). Cargo extension updated

Always a little unsure how to best go about such tips/requests, but I happened to notice that the Cargo extension has been updated to version 2.2 [1]. Looking at the brief release notes, the addition of a Rating data type could potentially be pretty useful. I was going to update Cargo, but if it hasn't been rolled out on Gamepedia yet it's best to leave it at 2.1.2. Pangaearocks (talk) 17:00, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

Share and Adapt?

Recently I got back into RimWorld, and then started making some edits on their independently hosted wiki. The help sections there are somewhat basic, so I have looked at the excellent sections here and started wondering: Would it be okay to copy and adapt some or all of it? Looking at for instance wikipedia:Help:Magic_words was an inspiration for the similar page here at Gamepedia. I'll probably cut down on some of the details and code (and Gamepedia-specific stuff), and maybe drop the versions column, but it would be an excellent starting point. Looking at the license it appears to be fine, but I wanted to check with you guys first. Similar to what I did with the developer of Cargo before adapting the same documentation here. Cheers. Pangaearocks (talk) 19:46, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

Per the license it's fine as long as you share alike and provide attribution. I don't see any licensing note on that wiki so that may present some issues. --Pcj (T·C) 19:49, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, that is a good point about the license. I couldn't find anything either, and the links at the bottom of the wiki look pretty bareboned and/or outdated. I've contacted an admin over there, so hopefully it can be resolved. Maybe they forgot about it, or didn't think about it at the time. The focus tends to be on writing content after all. But we shall see once he gets back to me. Speaking of the bottom... it's sad to see what's stated on this one now :-/ Pangaearocks (talk) 02:27, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
I've tried to get in touch with the admin in various ways, but no reply yet. Wanted to get started on this while I still have the free time, energy and interest. Given how outdated some of those pages are, with mentions of Wikia, I'm guessing they were imported/copied back in 2013-14 when the wiki was created, and basically nobody have looked or thought about it since. What do you propose I do? The admin carried out something a month ago, and then 5 months ago, so doesn't look very active :-| So much that needs to be done as well, but with this license thing and being a regular user, I can't really do much. They don't even had an Admin noticeboard over there for some reason. Would be easier if it was hosted here tbh. Could have gotten more professional help on the CSS and main page side as well. I'd love to hear some advice on what can be done to improve matters, if anything (besides editing regular content pages). Cheers. Pangaearocks (talk) 21:47, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
If it was hosted at Wikia and still is around somewhere, you could locate that and work on that wiki instead. --Pcj (T·C) 21:50, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
