:::Okay, I see. It would help if I could edit the DPL myself; could you link to the wiki or sandbox where you're trying this? Scientific Guy (talk) 18:31, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:31, 5 May 2019

The following DPL displays correctly on its own page:

But, when transcluded to another page, the format is lost, and raw HTML is displayed:

|valign=top|

How to fix?

Using DPL for a blog-like display with images

Hi ! Thanks for the nice improvements to DPL. It adds very valuable items. After reading the documentation I can't tell if it can be used to make a blog-like display with an image from the article + page title + maybe an extract. Did you have an experience with something like that ? Regards. --Xii Ryo (talk) 20:02, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Using DPL with images

Hi guys - i try to get the same as the author above. What i tried:

<dpl>
category=News
ordermethod=categoryadd,firstedit
order= descending
namespace=
count=9
format =,\n*,%TITLE%,,
include={News}:image,%0[450]
allowcachedresults=true
</dpl>

What i got is just the image name (examplexyz.jpg) How can i implement that as image? I tried that with the File Syntax but it doesn't work. Any ideas ? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.65.107.54 (talk). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Can you give an example of the code output? Category:News doesn't exist on this wiki, so I can't fully see what the problem is. Scientific Guy (talk) 16:40, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your answer. Example output:
LoremLipsum.png
09.04.2019

Lorem ipsum text dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua ..→Lorem Lipsum Title
This is the result. I suspect the syntax is wrong. But I have no idea how to do that correctly. The image path is present. But this one jumps out of the file tag. What i want.

09.04.2019 Lorem Lipsum Title

Lorem ipsum text dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua ..→
